Brading vs. Minnis: KOIN Calls it for Minnis

KOIN is calling a win for Karen Minnis in House District 49. She is currently leading by around 600 votes. So is there a light at the end of the tunnel? A bright light. Karen Minnis' destructive record as Speaker of the House is OVER. Since the House Dems pulled off that incredible victory last night we will have a new Speaker, a Democrat. Minnis' was also forced to spend an incredible amount of money on this race--over $1 million making it the most expensive race. No longer can Karen Minnis kill pro-equality legislation. Though we worked hard to get Brading into office--the big victory is still there.

The Buddhists have an interesting saying: "May You Live In Interesting Times" (it's actually a cleverly disguised curse) - I would not want to be in Karen Minnis's shoes at this point! Pay backs are an extreme "bitch" and she will be facing her "actions" of the past as she returns to office. (In a much deflated state) It would have been better for her, had she lost. She now has to face every day the Dems and her past actions! Alas, the law of Three is in force. 'Nuff said!
